World Restart a Heart Day

The CPR seminars by Dr. Polyzou and her team of volunteers continue this year as well. The efforts were once again focused on school-aged children. There were also redoubled efforts to teach everyone else the use of the Automatic External Defibrilators (AED), as last year the municipality received another seven machines, totaling to ten throughout the city.

October, 2018

This year, the European Restart a Heart Day becomes the World Restart a Heart Day. To celebrate the RESTARTAHEART Day becoming a global celebration, Dr. Polyzou, her volunteering team, the Trikala Red Cross branch and the National Emergency Aid Centre organised another massive first aid event at the main road. The event was open to all.

The year 2018 was also marked by the addition of CPR in the educational curriculum of primary schools, a big victory to the organisation Kids Save Lives, who have made great efforts for CPR to become part of the necessary curicculum in schools.
