Participation in the European Restart a Heart Day

With the city's second year celebrating the European Restart a Heart Day in sight, the efforts of Dr. Eleni Polyzou and her team of accredited volunteers continued, with first aid seminars starting early in the year. As with last year, the efforts were mostly focused on teaching schoolchildren and their educators, however all ages were welcome to the open seminars.

The efforts to further supply the city with AEDs was successful, their number reaching 10 by the end of the year 2017.

The celebration this year culminated with at least 2000 schoolchildren successfully learning CPR.
