CPR Seminars and Press Conference for Awareness

Trikala Volunteering Group teaching Resuscitation seminars to the nursing staff of KAPI as well as the elderly involved in the organisation.The equipment used for the demonstrations was provided by the Hospital Society of Emergency Prehospital Care (HSEPC). The seminar was organised and implemented by Dr. Eleni Polyzou, MD., European Resuscitation Council Seminar Manager.

Press conference for raising awareness for the need of educating the citizens of the Trikala Municipality in basic first aid. They highlighted the importance of first aid being taught to those in services such as the Police and the Fire Brigade, as well as to schoolchildren, who are tomorrows’ citizens. During the conference, the local council reminded those present that they have already taken steps and had had Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) installed in various locations across the city, and that they are currently awaiting for more to come. Speakers from our team present in the conference were Dr. Polyzou, MD. and Dr. Karatzaferi, PhD.

First Aid Seminar for the local Police Force, who are usually the first to reach cases where an intervention is required. Along with them, employees from the local organization “Help at Home”. The seminar was implemented by Dr. Eleni Polyzou, MD. and European Resuscitation Council Seminar Manager, Vasilis Katsogiannis, ΕΠΑΣ trainer at the Trikala General Hospital and the certified volunteers present.
