World Restart a Heart Day, 2021

In celebration of the World Restart a Heart Day, Dr. Polyzou and Dr. Karatzaferi in collaboration with external partners Dr. Soulas (who was the main inspiration behind the event) and Dr. Lappas, have organized this year’s First Aid event curated to the sporting associations of the city. During the event, representatives from the Swimming, Rock Climbing, Track and Field, Basketball Associations were taught basic life support skills, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and use of automatic external defibrillators (AEDs), and received practical guidance by the organisers and the accredited volunteers present. The attendees were also informed on the locations of the AEDs spread across the city of Trikala and how to access them.
